Asparagus Wrapped in Bacon

One of the advantage staying at home is you can watch TV during the day.

My mom loves to watch Dine with Me from the travel and living channel, where 5 strangers cook dinner in turns each night for a week. They have to mark their opponents during the week and the one with the highest score wins 1000 pounds.

One menu that captures her is asparagus wrapped in bacon.

This particular menu was cooked twice in a row as starters. We tried it last Saturday, and it's really nice.

The preparations are simple. Just boil clean medium size asparagus for about 4 minutes. Then wrapped several stalks of asparagus in a piece of bacon and make it as a roll. Put it in the tray, sprinkle a little bit of olive oil then put it in the oven for 4-5 minutes. That's all.

The picture shows the result of our second today try but I forget to put the olive oil... so it's not as shiny as it's supposed to and the smell is not as good... I think we can bake a bit longer also to make the bacon drier. Anyway, we are happy with it so why don't you try it.
